Nanny Bans Running

What The Fuck!
I understand that a school in my own delightful town of Croydon has banned children from running in the playground.

Why?

Health and Safety!

I do not know which idiotic school has done this, can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks.

This is great!! School sports day should be good....100m walk boy! 200m Walk boy! 400m Walk boy!.....

I don't know why kids are just not bubble wrapped at birth and put straight into Nanny's care in special padded rooms, or perhaps that is phase two.

It is all part of the woosification of the nation.

Makes you proud to be British doesn't it.

This has got to be a conundrum for Nanny. On one hand, she's awful concerned about obese kids, so you'd think she'd encourage exercise. On the other hand, risk averse Nanny is deathly afraid of a scaped knee. My guess is that most of the readers of this site have plenty of childhood scars, and we have lived to tell.

Another thing nanny doesnt like about running on playgrounds ,esp. with boys, is the games they play, cowboys and indians, cops and robbers, army stuff. This is WAY to un-PC for Nanny, and it interferes with her master plan. Tonk called it. The wussification of society.

I was going to mention the Egg & Spoon Stroll until I realised that; with eggs being declared toxic and spoons clearly offensive weapons, Elfin safety would have a field day - or a heart attack!

On a more serious note, isn't it amazing: these fibroids (forgive me!) are bloody amazing at uncovering - and stopping - dangerous practices like running in playgrounds, but are totally incapable of discouraging the apparently lesser evil of kids stabbing or kicking to death anyone within their reach.
Might it just be that they have got their priorities (ever so slightly) wrong.

The natural consequence of the "monstrous regiment" of women (and woosified men) in public life.
