Nanny Bans Porn

I see that Cameron is to make a speech today in which he will say that every internet user in the country will be asked whether they want to have access to pornography; ie there will be an automatic block on porn until the users tell their ISPs that they want the block removed.

Anyone care to define "porn"; eg will those searching for pictures of "Blue Tits" be banned from viewing the images?

  1. I doubt that the progressive Marxist Cameron thought of this all by himself. The EUSSR has had its eye on web censorship for a while now,,,,The left know that if they can control what people see and hear, they can keep the population "on message." As Peter said on another thread, the left controls the education/indoctrination system and have done so since the mid 1960s, now they seek to control access to informnation via the media.....Mark my words, once the precedent has been set in relation to blocking one thing on the web, the next thing blocked will not be far behind.....What will be blocked next; non PC opinion? Non leftie political opinion? Any thing that questions the new false religion of climate change? Any thing that doesn't conform to the various "ists," "isms," or "phobes" so loved by Nanny to stifel debate? It is a very slippery slope we are on the brink of sliding down.

  2. In the interests of research I pasted your search term into Google (with the "Safe Search" filter turned off), and sure enough a pair of
blue coloured boobs appeared only 12 lines down! Removing the hyphens increased this to 22 lines down.

If Camoron really thinks Google, Bing et all are going to look through every page on the web checking for the odd spoof he really is a twat...

I suppose they will also have to block web searches for proxies, VPN's, translation into Russian/Japanese/german (depending on which country hosts what you want to see) and the phrase "how to get round ISP's blocking porn".

Maybe then they will realise they are wasting time, money and effort in trying to prevent the Greater British Public having a good wank.

FWIW there is already net censorship in place in this country, administered by BT and known as Cleanfeed.

Anyone can report illegal content to the Internet Watch Foundation, see http://www.iwf.org.uk/ for details.
