Dear all

I will be in a galaxy far far away for the next week and, most likely, unable to update this site. To this end please feel free to use this post as an open thread to discuss topical Nanny issues.

Thanks

I see EU Nanny is at it again. This time on food allergies. According to The Mail today "A new law comes into effect in December that will make all food is sold in supermarkets, restaurants, office canteens and schools carry a list of potential allergens."

If food manufacturers put food in their products they could just list the contents: Contents: food, Allergens: Food. Instead they stuff it with chemicals, Greek corpses don't decompose any more.

Sounds like plain packaging for food.

Methinks the biggest risk to health in our family is not being able to find the sell-by date for all the other crud. On second thoughts though, it probably doesn't matter as the "sell/use"-by dates have long been hijacked by the PR/legal departments to have folk throw away perfectly legit stuff.
